Archiestown is a vibrant village with a very active community. It has a range of facilities, including a Post Office and an excellent hotel. There is a very good small primary school at Knockando. Aberlour is about 6 miles away and boasts an excellent comprehensive range of facilities, including a supermarket, banks, shops, swimming pool, leisure facilities, library, doctor’s surgery, cottage hospital and an excellent secondary school which has consistently been one of the best performing secondary schools in Moray.
The area is very popular with visitors attracted by the numerous excellent facilities. The River Spey is world famous for its salmon fishing. Archiestown is located in the Malt Whisky Trail with such famous distilleries as Macallan, Cardhu and Knockando, all within a few miles of the property.
