The Glen , Lochranza is a unique property of enormous character and quality built in the 1800’s it was purchased by the current owner's family in 1989 as a summer retreat and has continued to be enjoyed in a similar vein up until the present time. Lochranza can be found to the North of Arran. Caladonia McBrane run a daily service to the mainland from a small slipway in the village . There are several places to eat out, Hotels, Golf Course and a popular campsite. The Glen sits in a private and sheltered position and is approached directly offthe main public road to Lochranza. The private road sweeps down to the foot of a burn where there is parking . Access to the property is over a small burn, accessible by most vehicles and along a well established track over a timber bridge where there is further parking. A very attractive traditionalone and half storey cottage constructed under a pitched slate roofand rendered stone walls, painted white with contrasting window and door surrounds. There are two out buildings attached to the main house , The Byre is a useful store with access to a loft area. The piggery is a stone built enclosure with access to an attached outbuilding. Both have power supply.

The Bothy is a small detached building, it was a game keeper dwelling , uninhabitable at present but with great potential .The area comprises a main room with stove and original pine cladding to the walls, kitchen off with a mezzanine bedroom above. A shower room with WC is located on the ground floor. Services are connected to The Bothy however a total upgrade will be required to make it habitable.

The former kennels are again part of the history of this house and are reminiscent of a past country life. Used for storage at present . Two separate kennels with outdoor runs.

Services to The Glen are private , having a bountiful supply of water from the nearby burn and a septic tank provides for waste water . Electric is mains supply .

The glen has a clearly defined area of garden surrounding it , mostly laid to lawn with some mature shrubs and bushes enclosed by a sturdy deer fence.
